Cozy parlors and a wonderful terrace
Our various lounges and beer gardens in the Ochsen offer the right ambience for stopping off, enjoying and celebrating for every taste and occasion.
The restaurant has 80 seats and can be expanded to accommodate up to 120 people by combining the Gaststube (25 people in the front area) and the Mundingstüble (15 people in the back area). Our Jägerstüble is brand new, offering space for a maximum of 20 people.
The beer garden terrace is directly connected to the restaurant and Mundingstüble. Here, too, you can have breakfast from 9 a.m. and, of course, eat à la carte. The terrace offers about 60 seats.
It is particularly hearty in our new Kisslegger Schlossgarten, our cozy pop-up beer garden based on the Bavarian principle. Enjoy a very special part of the Allgäu on an 800 m² open space under shady chestnut trees and red beeches, in front of the historic backdrop of the New Palace in Kisslegg. One of the most beautiful beer gardens in the region.

Short distances, fresh on the table: When purchasing goods, our master kitchen clearly relies on products from the region. The wealth of fresh products in the region is great: meat from the region in LandZunge quality, vegetables from the Bodensee island of Reichenau, cheese from the Allgäu, game from local hunts, hops from Tettnang and Swabian malt. You can feel and taste it, there is manual cooking and a lot of love for the products.
We invite you to down-to-earth classics, refined gourmet delights or just a hearty snack, rounded off by the specialties of our in-house brewery. In the ox kitchen we go with the seasons, our menu changes regularly with the seasons. That's how it stays exciting and there's always something new to discover with us.
